Common complaints that Chiara Richter treats

After a knee operation – for example after a cruciate ligament reconstruction or a meniscus surgery. Chiara Richter will guide you from the first movements through targeted strength training back to everyday life and sports.

Shoulder and hip – before and after operations, in cases of arthritis or impaired mobility. With manual therapy and adapted training, joints become more mobile and capable of bearing more load.

Back and neck – both acute pain and recurring symptoms. In addition to treatment, you will learn simple exercises that you can do yourself.

Swelling after injury or surgery – Manual lymphatic drainage supports the removal of fluid and relieves tension.

Pregnancy – Back and pelvic pain are common. Targeted movement and relief help you get through this time well.

What is manual therapy?

Manual therapy is a treatment using the hands that targets specific areas of the joints, muscles, and nerves. Gentle mobilization and soft tissue techniques can relieve pain and make limited joints more mobile. Chiara Richter completed her training in manual therapy over three years at SAMPT in Cologne. In her practice, she always combines the technique with active exercises: The treatment creates the space for the training to ensure that the new mobility remains in everyday life. This way, you can benefit from less pain in the short term and more stability in the long term, especially for back, neck, shoulder, and knee problems.

Your first appointment with Chiara Richter

At the first appointment, Chiara Richter takes the time to listen to your story and your goals. After that, she examines your mobility, strength, and endurance and explains in a clear way what is behind your symptoms. Treatment begins as early as this first session, and you will receive exercises for at-home use.

Please bring with you: the medical prescription (if available), your insurance card, comfortable clothing, and reports or photos. In case of an accident, please also provide the name of your accident insurance and the claim number.

Physiotherapy in Wipkingen and Höngg

The practice is located at Hönggerstrasse 118, between Wipkingen and Höngg, and is easily accessible from Escher Wyss, Unterstrass and District 10. Together, we set realistic goals and regularly review your progress – so you always know where you stand. And if something changes, we adapt the plan together – your body and daily routine dictate the pace.
