What is mobile physiotherapy?
Mobile physiotherapy offers you professional treatment in the comfort of your own home. It is particularly suitable for people with limited mobility who cannot come to a practice or prefer therapy in their familiar surroundings.
Our experienced physiotherapists will come to your home and create a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs. Targeted techniques and exercises are used to relieve pain, improve mobility and optimally support rehabilitation.
Where do we offer mobile physiotherapy?
We operate in Zurich Wipkingen and Höngg (district 10) and can offer flexible appointments. Our aim is to provide you with high-quality therapy that takes your individual needs into account and optimally supports your recovery.
To make an appointment or for further information, please contact us by phone or e-mail.
Why is Mobile Physiotherapy important?
Accessing physiotherapy treatment can be challenging for many people. Our mobile physiotherapy offers a solution by bringing treatment directly to you. This can be particularly helpful for:
- People with acute or chronic movement restrictions
- Senior citizens who are reluctant or have difficulty traveling
- Patients in post-operative rehabilitation
- People with neurological diseases or severe health impairments
The use of specific techniques, small devices and individually tailored therapy plans ensures effective and holistic care.
What can I expect during treatment at home?
- Individual support: Our therapists address your specific complaints and adapt the treatment plan accordingly.
- Targeted exercises: You will receive an exercise program that can easily be carried out at home.
- Personal progress: Regular appointments help to achieve progress and achieve long-term improvements.
Mobile physiotherapy offers you a convenient, effective and individual treatment option directly at your home.
Typical situations for mobile physiotherapy
- After an operation or hospital stay: The first weeks after a hip, knee, or shoulder operation, when the journey to the clinic is still too difficult.
- After a fall or accident: Rebuilding strength and safety in the familiar environment, including fall prevention right where everyday life takes place.
- In the case of chronic diseases: For example, in the case of neurological disorders or severe osteoarthritis, stairs and transportation become a hindrance.
- Lymph drainage at home: For patients with lymphoedema who are unable to visit the clinic on a regular basis.
This is how a treatment at home works
Contact us by phone or email. We will check if your address is within the practice’s area and arrange the first appointment. During the first visit, we will examine you, discuss your goals, and set up the treatment plan. The therapy takes place in your living room or bedroom; we bring small equipment such as therapy bands, weights, and balance aids. Between appointments, you will receive an exercise program that fits your home and daily routine.
Cost reimbursement for mobile physiotherapy
We will directly bill your health insurance company for a medical prescription that specifies home treatment. After an accident, the accident insurance usually covers the costs. If you are unable to visit the doctor’s office, please discuss this with your doctor or nurse. It is also possible to receive treatment on your own account.
