With a medical prescription
For a physiotherapy treatment, you need a medical prescription (Physiotherapy Prescription) from your doctor. With this prescription, the mandatory basic insurance covers the costs of the treatment, excluding the franchise and self-payment. A prescription is valid for five weeks from the date of issue and generally covers nine treatments. Please bring the prescription and your insurance card to the first appointment. During the initial consultation, we take the time to thoroughly record your medical history and perform an examination, and together with you we will create an individual treatment plan.
After an accident
If you are accident-insured by your employer (UVG, e.g. SUVA), the accident insurance covers the full cost of physiotherapy after an accident – without a franchise and without a deductible. Pensioners and self-employed people are covered by the health insurance (KVG); in this case, a franchise and deductible apply. Here again, you need a medical prescription; in addition, we require the information from your accident report (insurance and claim number).
