I had severe pain in my left shoulder, a burning, really uncomfortable pain that was very debilitating. After just the second treatment with my physiotherapist Philipp, the pain was almost gone. He is truly a superman: very competent, with a lot of experience, big strong hands, and the right sense of what to do. The treatment not only helped me, but also was fun because he remained attentive, listened, and engaged in conversation instead of simply doing his work in silence for 30 minutes. A very, very good man; I never thought my pain could go away so quickly.
Philipp Schröder is a long-time qualified physiotherapist with extensive experience in treating acute and chronic conditions. His goal: to find the appropriate, individual solution for each patient in Wipkingen and Höngg.

After the initial examination, we create a diagnosis of your current condition through questioning, observation, and palpation (touching the muscle and bone structure). This allows us to explain the cause of your pain. Sometimes this can be more complex than just a muscle tear or a joint problem. However, we will try to explain everything in a way that you fully understand your illness, injury, or surgery, and thus can participate in the treatment process. Because that is the key to success.
The basis for the development of a personalized therapeutic treatment and support concept are your physical goals as well as the medical diagnosis. Together with you, we want to permanently improve your physical and also mental well-being.
You should look forward to your treatments, know that you are in good hands and leave our practice with a smile on your face! That is the goal we work towards.
In the practice, which is located in district 10 directly at the Waidfussweg streetcar stop between Höngg and Wipkingen, you will receive treatment methods that are optimally tailored to you.
Upon request, treatments are also possible off-site. We do not stop at perfecting our therapy, we study regularly and always work according to the latest findings.
We prefer to discuss the possible cause(s) of your health problem with you. In this way, we can develop follow-up therapy and/or training for you beyond the period of acute treatment. In this way you can maintain your freedom of movement and feel better in the long term. Trainings can be designed for at home, or in the practice with our expertise to help guide you.
Physio Waidfuss is a privately owned physiotherapy practice at Hönggerstrasse 118 in 8037 Zürich, directly at the Waidfussweg tram stop. Patients come to us from Wipkingen, Höngg and the entire 10th district, but also from other parts of the city of Zurich.
Our team of four qualified physiotherapists takes the time: for a thorough examination, for understandable explanations, and for a therapy plan that fits into your daily routine. We deal directly with all health insurance companies.
Back pain and Lumbago, Shoulder pain, Knee pain and the Rehabilitation after a cruciate ligament tear, Osteoarthritis, Head and jaw pain and Lymphoedema. When persistent muscle pain persists, we resort to Trigger Point Therapy and Dry needling one.
With Kinvent’s digital force measurement, we make your progress measurable, rather than relying solely on feeling. Our Technogym exercise bike with adjustable crank and the Functional Training Area enable early, active training, for example after a knee or hip operation.
If you are unable to come to the practice, we can also visit you at home in the Wipkingen and Höngg areas.
Typically, you need a medical prescription for physical therapy. This usually entitles you to nine treatments; if necessary, your doctor can prescribe additional sessions.
Yes, we are a practice recognized by health insurance companies and bill your health insurance directly according to the prescribed tariff, provided there is a medical prescription.
During the first appointment, we will discuss your symptoms and medical history together. Afterwards, we will carry out a thorough examination (questioning, observation, and palpation) in order to make a diagnosis and, together with you, determine the treatment goals.
That depends on the extent of your symptoms. A medical prescription usually covers nine treatments; depending on the course of treatment, the doctor can prescribe additional sessions.
In certain cases, treatment is possible even without a prescription. Please feel free to contact us so that we can determine together which options are available to you.
Our practice is located at Hönggerstrasse 118, 8037 Zurich, directly at the Waidfussweg tram stop, right between Wipkingen and Höngg.
